Database table administration
Unica Campaign administrators must perform initial one-time tasks and routine administration tasks that pertain to database tables.

For Send time optimization feature, Deliver will populate best send time of each user being targeted via Deliver in a table called as UACE_STO_METRICS and Campaign will use this time to populate OLT.

        Most system tables are mapped automatically during initial installation and configuration if you used the system table data source UA_SYSTEM_TABLES. Use caution when mapping Unica Campaign system tables because they contain application data.

        Unmapping a system table can cause features and existing campaigns to stop working. If you must unmap a system table, unmap it only when no users are using Unica Campaign.

        Unica Campaign is delivered with an audience level called Customer. If you plan to use this audience level, you must map the Customer audience level tables after Unica Campaign is installed.

About mapping STO tables

For Send time optimization feature, Deliver will populate best send time of each user being targeted via Deliver in a table called as UACE_STO_METRICS and Campaign will use this time to populate OLT.

Since identification of user in Campaign is based on AudienceLevel, so this table needs to be AudienceLevel specific. User needs to create this table per audience level and map it under Campaign Settings -> Manage Audience levels section. This table needs to have audience id fields and STO calculation related fields.

If you are not using send time optimization

Using send time optimization feature in Campaign flowchart is optional. If you are not using Send time optimization features in flowcharts, the best practice is that you do not map the send time optimize table. Mapping send time optimization system table causes Unica Campaign to add two new columns 'preferredSendTime' and 'TimeZone' in deliver's OLT table. This is unnecessary processing overhead if you are not using send time optimization feature.
