Migrating from previous versions of HCL OneTest™ Embedded

Test scripts and projects from previous versions of HCL OneTest™ Embedded continue to work with the Studio user interface and the command line tools. The current version of Studio can open and run all assets that you created with previous versions of the product.

HCL OneTest™ Embedded 8.0 introduces new graphical design for building your test cases and harnesses, based on a the Eclipse CDT environment. This additional feature facilitates the creation of new test projects for C projects and is not compatible with test scripts and projects created with previous releases.

There is currently no direct migration path from Studio projects and test scripts to the HCL OneTest™ Embedded Eclipse CDT environment.

Target Deployment Ports

Target deployment ports must be updated to the latest version of the product. To do this, simply load them in the TDP Editor and save them again.
