Recover Linux accounts

These procedures describe how to use the account recover utility to recovery Linux accounts.

Follow these steps to use the account recovery utility:

Open a Terminal window.
cd to the Link installation folder.
Make certain Link is running.
Run the command: Link createuser <username>
Upon successful completion of the command, the following message is displayed:
Created administrative account for <username> user, initial password is stored in file /opt/hipfiles/<username>password.txt
Using the credentials <username> and the <password> from the specified password file, you can now login to the Link WEB application and reset existing users accounts.
