Kit Details

Use this dialog to view details about products within a kit, and to specify whether individual products from this kit should be returned to the fulfillment center. A kit contains multiple products, is ordered and returned as a unit, and has one price and one SKU. The information about the products contained in a dynamic kit is controlled by an external configurator. If the customer wants to return one or more products within the kit, the entire kit must be returned.

Name
A short description of the kit. This field is read-only.
SKU
The stock keeping unit (SKU) for the kit that uniquely identifies the kit. This field is read-only.

Quantity
The quantity of the product the customer wants to return.
Return to Fulfillment Center
Once a product is added to a return, the system determines whether the product needs to be returned to the fulfillment center from which the product originated, and the status is indicated as a Yes or No value here. Returned products are restocked and can be sold to other customers. To change the status, select Yes or No as appropriate. Note that if the system determined that the product does not need to be returned to the fulfillment center, and you override this, then the return must be manually approved by a user with this authority, such as the Customer Service Supervisor.

Often, whether products can be returned to the fulfillment center depends on one of the following rules:

  • The nature of the product. For example, spoiled groceries do not need to be returned. In this case, select Yes as the return to fulfillment center status.
  • The condition of the product. For example, if cosmetics have been returned because the customer has read the label and is allergic to the product, and the cosmetics have not been used, they can be returned to the fulfillment center. In this case, select Yes as the return to fulfillment center status. However, if the cosmetics have been used, it should not be returned to the fulfillment center to be sold to another customer. In this case, select No as the return to fulfillment center status.
