New Member Group - Registration

Use this page to define requirements a customer's registration information must match for inclusion in your new member group.

Registration Date
Select one of the following options
Ignore registration date
Select this option to include all customers independent of their registration date.
Registered within the number of days specified below
Select this option to include only customers that have registered in a certain time frame. If you select this option, a Number of days field displays, in which you can specify how recently the target customer registered.
Registered prior to the number of days ago specified below
Select this option to include only customers that registered before a certain time frame. If you select this option, a Number of days field displays, in which you can specify how long ago the target customer must have registered.
Registered before the date specified below
Select this option to include only customers that registered before a particular date. If you select this option, a Date field displays in which you can enter the target date.
Registered after the date specified below
Select this option to include only customers that registered after a particular date. If you select this option, a Date field displays in which you can enter the target date.
Registered between the dates specified below
Select this option to include only customers that registered between two dates. If you select this option, Start Date, and End Date fields display in which you can enter the dates to specify the target range.
Note: The date and time are based on the current system time for the machine where HCL Commerce Server is installed.
Last Registration Update
Select one of the following options:
Ignore date of last update to registration information
Select this option to include all customers independent of the date of their last registration update.
The last update to registration information must have occurred within the number of days specified below
Select this option to include only customers that have updated their registration information within a certain time frame. If you select this option, a Number of days field displays, in which you can specify how recently the target customers changed their registration information.
The last update to registration information must have occurred earlier than the number of days ago specified below
Select this option to include only customers that have updated their registration information before a certain time frame. If you select this option, a Number of days field displays, in which you can specify how long ago the target customers changed their registration information.
The last update to registration information must have occurred before the date specified below
Select this option to include only customers that have updated their registration information before a particular date. If you select this option, a Date field displays in which you can enter the target date.
The last update to registration information must have occurred after the date specified below
Select this option to include only customers that have updated their registration information after a particular date. If you select this option, a Date field displays in which you can enter the target date.
The last update to registration information must have occurred between the dates specified below
Select this option to include only customers that have updated their registration information between two dates. If you select this option, Start Date, and End Date fields display in which you can enter the dates to specify the target range.

Interests
Select one of the following options:
Ignore interests
Select this option to include all customers independent of their interests.
Interests must include one of the values specified below
Select this option to include customers that have one or more of the specified interests. If you select this option, a Specify one or more interests field displays in which you can specify the target interests.
Interests must include all of the values specified below
Select this option to include customers that have all of the specified interests. If you select this option, a Specify one or more interests field displays in which you can specify the target interests.
Interests must not include all of the values specified below
Select this option to include customers that do not have any of the specified interests. If you select this option, a Specify one or more interests field displays in which you can specify the target interests.
Specify one or more interests
Use this field to specify the interests for comparison with the option selected. Add one interest at a time, and click Add to add the interest to the Specified interests list below. Interests appear one per line.
Specified interests
The list of interests specified for this member group. You can select an interest from the list, and click Delete to remove an interest from the list for this member group.
Company
Select one of the following options:
Ignore company
Select this option to include all customers independent of the company that they work for.
Company name must match one of the names specified below
Select this option to include customers that are employed by a particular company. If you select this option, a Specify one or more company names field displays in which you can specify the target companies.
Company name must not match any of the names specified below
Select this option to include customers that are not employed by a particular company. If you select this option, a Specify one or more company names field displays in which you can specify the target companies.
Specify one or more company names
Use this field to specify the companies for comparison with the option selected. Add one company at a time, and click Add to add the company to the list below. Companies appear one per line.
Specified company names
The list of companies specified for this member group. You can select a company from the list, and click Delete to remove a company name from the list for this member group.
Currency
Select one of the following options:
Ignore currency
Select this option to include all customers independent of their preferred currency.
Target the following currencies
Select this option to include only customers that have registered and indicated a preferred currency. When this button is selected, you are able to select from the list of the store's defined currencies. Select the check box corresponding to each currency that you want to include in this member group. You can select any number of available currencies.
Language
Select one of the following options:
Ignore language
Select this option to include all customers independent of their preferred language.
Target the following languages
Select this option to include only customers that have registered and indicated a preferred language. When this button is selected, you are able to select from the list of the store's defined languages. Select the check box corresponding to each language that you want to include in this member group. You can select any number of available languages.
Job Function
Select one of the following options:
Ignore job function
Select this option to include all customers independent of their job function.
Target the following job functions
Select this option to include only the specified job functions. Select the check box corresponding to each job function that you want to include in this member group. You can select any number of the following job functions.
  • Senior management
  • Middle management
  • Professional
  • Technical staff
  • Support staff
Preferred Method of Communication
Select one of the following options:
Ignore preferred method of communication
Select this option to include all customers independent of their preferred method of communication.
Target the following methods of communication
Select this option to select from the list of communication methods. Select the check box corresponding to each communication method that you want to include in this member group. You can select any number of communication methods.
Phone
Select this check box to include customers that prefer to be contacted using a telephone.
E-mail
Select this check box to include customers that prefer to be contacted using e-mail.
