Role Assignment Permissions
Use this page to define the set of roles that a role may assign to other users.
- Assigning Role
- Select the role for which you want to define a set of assignable roles.
- All assignable roles
- Select this if you want the assigning role to be able to assign all current and future assignable roles.
- Selected assignable roles
- Select this if you want to create a fixed set of assignable roles.
Selecting this enables the following options:
- Selected assignable roles
- Lists the assignable roles.
To remove an assignable role from the selected list, select the role and click >>.
To select multiple assignable roles, hold down the Shift key and highlight the roles you want to remove.
- Available assignable roles
- Lists the available assignable roles.
To add an assignable role to the selected list, select the role and click <<.
To add multiple assignable roles, hold down the Shift key, highlight the items you want, then click <<.
The selected assignable roles display in the Selected assignable roles list.

- Click this button to move the selected assignable roles from the available list to selected list.

- Click this button to move the selected assignable roles from the selected list to available list.
- Apply Changes
- Click this button to apply the configurations to the selected assigning role. The applied configurations display in the Defined role assignment permissions field.
- Defined role assignment permissions
- This field lists the current role assignment permissions. Entries in the list are in the
following form:
assigning role -- assignable role
For example, an entry of "Operations Manager -- Account Representative" in this list means that a user assigned the Operations Manager role can assign other users the role of Account Representative.
