Opening and closing stores

Use the Store Management tool to open or close a store. For example, if you want to perform maintenance on a store, you might want to close the store so that shoppers cannot shop in the store until the maintenance work is complete Then you can open the store once this work is complete so that shoppers can shop in the store.

Procedure

  1. Open Management Center Tools.
  2. In the explorer view filter, click Stores.
The Stores list view displays, containing a list of the stores that you are authorized to work with.

You can search for stores to display one or more stores that match your search criteria.

  3. Right-click a store; then click Open store or Close store to change the store state.
    Note:
    • The open store feature is available only for direct stores, hub stores, and extended site stores. You cannot use the open store feature to open asset stores, catalog asset stores, extended site hub stores, or auxiliary stores.
    • You can still launch and view a store while it is in the closed state. When you launch a store from the Store Management tool, you are automatically logged in to the store with the same user credentials used in your current Management Center session.
