HCL Commerce is a high-availability, highly scalable and customizable e-commerce platform. Able to support hundreds of thousands of transactions per day, HCL Commerce allows you to do business with consumers (B2C) or directly with businesses (B2B). HCL Commerce uses cloud friendly technology to make deployment and operation both easy and efficient. It provides easy-to-use tools for business users to centrally manage a cross-channel strategy. Business users can create and manage precision marketing campaigns, promotions, catalog, and merchandising across all sales channels. Getting started for administrators

Read this section first to get started with HCL Commerce as an administrator. There are two types of administrators: Site administrator, and Administrator.

A Site Administrator user controls access to the business users and administrative tools (Management Center, Commerce Accelerator, Administration Console, and Organization Administration Console) for each environment instance. A user that is assigned the Site Administrator role for an environment instance is assigned the role for only that environment instance. For example, a Site Administrator role for the authoring instance of a non-production environment does not have the Site Administrator role for the live instance or the Site Administrator role for the authoring instance of any other environment. Any administrative changes that are made for one environment instance are completed within only that instance.
