Return - Add Products - Find

Use this dialog to search for and add products to a return. At least one field must be specified.

Note: The system performs an exact search based on the order number provided, and a fuzzy or advanced search based on the values provided for all other fields on this dialog.
Search from an existing customer order
Select this radio button to search for the product based on information about an existing customer order. Choose this option if you know information about the customer order that contains the product to be returned. The search fields for finding a product from an existing order is as follows:
Order number (exact)
Type the order number, which uniquely identifies the customer order that contains the product to be returned. The system performs an exact search based on the order number you specify (for example, if you type 12345, the system will search for the order with order number 12345).
Originator logon ID
Consumer direct (B2C) The store logon ID for the customer that has placed the order containing the product for return, as provided during registration. If the customer logon ID for the originator of the return is known, then the customer logon ID is populated with the customer's logon ID for the store. B2B direct The logon ID for the person who originated the return, as provided during registration. Depending on the access control policies implemented, another individual may have the authority to change or request changes to the return. This individual is not the originator of the return, but may need to specify the originator logon ID when requesting an update at the store. For example, if an employee of IBM may create the original return, but the employee's manager may contact the store to change the return. To locate this return, the store may request the originator's logon ID.
B2B direct Account name
B2B directSelect the customer's account name. This is typically the name of the organization with which the customer is associated, and this organization has defined contracts with the store, stipulating terms for the customer to shop at the store. For example, the organization IBM may have contracts with the ABC Office Supplies Store.
Search from the store's online catalog
Select this radio button to search for the product based on products within the store's online catalog. Choose this option if the customer who is originating the return is known but you do not know information about the order that contains the product to be returned. Note that this option is only available if a product is already included in the return and you want to add more products to the return. If the return does not currently contain any products, use the Search from an existing customer order option. The search fields for finding a product from the store's catalog is as follows:
Product name
Type all or part of the product name for the product you want to add to the return; for example, "Women's sweater."
SKU
Type all or part of the stock keeping unit (SKU) for the product you want to add to the return.
Short description
Type all or part of the short description for the product you want to add to the return; for example, "Red women's wool sweater."
Find
Click this button to search for a product based on the search criteria. At least one field must be specified.
