Find Customers

Use this dialog to search for a customer.

At least one field must be specified. For each field, type all or part of the information you want to search by and select the type of search you want the system to perform from the list beside this field. For example, to search for the logon ID johnsmith, note the following:

Search type

If you type john and select:

Match case, beginning with

The system searches for matches starting with "john"; for example, the system may find "john", johnbrown, and johnsmith.

Match case, containing

The system searches for matches with the string "john" in it; for example, the system may find "123john", "john123", and johnsmith.

Ignore case, beginning with

The system searches for matches starting with any variation of the string "john", using upper and lower case (such as "john" or "JOHN" or "John"); for example, the system may find johnbrown, johnsmith, and johnsmith.

Ignore case, containing

The system searches for matches with any variation of the string "john", using upper and lower case (such as "john" or "JOHN" or "John"); for example, the system may find "123johnbrown", "JohnSMITH123", and johnsmith.

Exact match

The system searches for the occurrences of your exact search query; for example, the system may find johnsmith.

Customer logon ID

Type all or part of the customer's store logon ID and select the type of search you want the system to perform from the list beside this field. This field accepts up to 31 alphanumeric characters.

First name

Type all or part of the customer's first name and select the type of search you want the system to perform from the list beside this field. This field accepts up to 64 characters.

Last name

Type all or part of the customer's last name and select the type of search you want the system to perform from the list beside this field. This field accepts up to 64 characters.

Phone number

Type all or part of the customer's primary phone number and select the type of search you want the system to perform from the list beside this field. This field accepts up to 32 characters.

E-mail address

Type all or part of the customer's primary e-mail address and select the type of search you want the system to perform from the list beside this field. This field accepts up to 254 alphanumeric characters.

City

Type all or part of the city of the customer's contact address and select the type of search you want the system to perform from the list beside this field. This field accepts up to 128 characters.

ZIP/Postal code

Type all or part of the customer's ZIP or postal code and select the type of search you want the system to perform from the list beside this field. This field accepts up to 40 alphanumeric characters.

Total accounts currently showing

Displays the number of accounts that you can select from, for this customer.

Select account

Select the account name you want to use for this customer.

Search for accounts

Type all or part of the account name and from the list below this field, select how you want the system to perform your search.

Find Account

Click this button to search for the account.

Find

Click this button to search for a customer based on the search criteria specified. If one or more fields are specified, the system performs a fuzzy search.
