Observed behavior
When there are a large number of B2B customer accounts involved with customer segments, marketing activities tend to be slow.
Expected behavior
When the marketing activity evaluation logic was determining membership for targeting purposes, there was a noticeable performance problem and occasional timeouts.
Resolution
The code was updated to use better-performing techniques to determine segment membership when B2B accounts in particular, are involved. This was mostly noticed with web activities providing material for e-Marketing spots.
