Changing merchandising associations

You can change a merchandising association if you have surplus inventory on a product and want to offer an incentive for customers to purchase it.

Procedure

  1. Open the Catalogs tool.
  2. Browse or search for the catalog entry that contains the merchandising association you want to change.
  3. Click the Merchandising Associations tab.
    The merchandising association table displays.
    WebSphere Commerce EnterpriseNote: If you are using the extended sites model, the first table displays merchandising associations for the catalog entry in the catalog asset store.
  4. Click the appropriate fields in the merchandising associations table that you want to change.
    You can change only the following fields:
    PropertyDescription
    Sequence The order in which the object is displayed on the storefront. Numbers are displayed in ascending order.
    Association The type of merchandising association: accessory, replacement, up-sell, or cross-sell.
    Quantity The number of SKUs within the selected catalog entry.
    Semantic The semantic identifier: comes_with, none, requires, or temp. Any custom merchandising association semantics you created also display. This field is not visible by default.
    Date The date the merchandising association is created. This field is not visible by default.
  5. Click Save; then click Close.
