Publishing the Brazil starter store

To use and develop in the Brazil starter store, you must publish your store.

Before you begin

Enable the starter store enhancements.
Before you publish the Brazil.sar store archive, install WebSphere Commerce Version 7.0 Fix Pack 1 or later, then publish the Madisons.sar store archive. The fix pack contains a new version of the Madisons.sar file, which contains the latest fixes and the necessary extension points for the Brazil.sar file. The Brazil.sar store archive does not work properly with earlier versions of the Madisons starter store.

Procedure

Publish your store as either a consumer direct Brazil starter store, or as an Extended Site.
- To publish your consumer direct Brazil starter store:
  1. Publish your Madisons.sar file, as the Brazil starter store uses assets from it when published.
    The storefront Web assets must be published to the WebSphere Commerce Server and the store data to the WebSphere Commerce database to create a functioning store.
    Enter the following publishing parameters:
    
    Store directory

    Inventory Model
    
    Non-ATP
  2. Publish your Brazil.sar file.
    Enter the following publishing parameters:
    
    Catalog Store
    
    Brazil
    
    Presentation Store
    
    Brazil
    
    Sample data
    
    Brazil Data (BrazilData.sar)
- To publish your Extended site Brazil starter store:
  1. Publish the ExtendedSites.sar file with the Housewares catalog.
    Enter the following publishing parameters:
    
    Store directory
    
    ExtendedSites.sar
    
    Sample data
    
    Housewares
  2. Publish the Brazil.sar file.
    Enter the following publishing parameters:
    
    Catalog store
    
    Extended Sites Catalog Asset store
    
    Presentation Store
    
    MadisonsStorefrontAssetStore
    
    Sample data
    
    Brazil Data (BrazilData.sar)
  3. Use the Store Creation Wizard to create a store. The new store is based on the two new published asset stores.
Verify that the store is published correctly by opening the store.
