Regenerating web server plug-ins in a cloned environment

Once the host name and node names are changed, you might need to update the web server plug-in configuration file and virtual host definitions.

Procedure

  1. Select Environment > Virtual hosts to open the Virtual hosts section.
  2. Select a virtual host.
    For example, VH_demo.
  3. In the Virtual hosts properties page, select Host Aliases.
  4. Select each of the displayed host names and update them to the new host name if needed.
  5. Repeat steps 2 - 4 for each defined virtual host.
  6. Save all changes.
After the virtual hosts are updated, you can regenerate the web server plug-in configuration file for WebSphere Commerce:
  1. Click Servers > Server Types > Web server to display the list of available web servers.
  2. Select the check box beside webserver1.
  3. Click Generate Plug-in.
  4. After the web server plug-in configuration is regenerated, select webserver1 and click Propagate Plug-in.
  5. Repeat steps 7 to 10 with the solrWebserver instead of webserver1 to regenerate web server plug-ins for WebSphere Commerce search.
