Upgrading with the Auto Update Service on Mac OS (cloud users)

Updates or new versions of HCL Client Application Access (HCAA) are made available to IBM SmartCloud® Notes® users automatically.

About this task

You or your administrator install HCAA the first time. After that, updates or new versions are made available to you automatically.

Your administrator might set up upgrades in a way that doesn't require you to respond to prompts. If not, complete the following steps when an update is available.

Procedure

  1. When a new version is downloaded on Mac OS, a message appears asking if you would like to install an update. Click Yes to begin the upgrade.
  2. Complete one of the following steps:
    • If HCL Client Application Access is running, a message appears asking if you would like to close the application or install later. Click Close Application and Install to begin the upgrade. HCL Client Application Access will be closed, and the upgrade installation will be completed shortly.
    • If HCL Client Application Access is not running, you see the following message. Enter your user name and password, then click Install Software to begin the upgrade.
