Add custom domain in Azure Active Directory

Before you begin

Adding a custom domain in Azure AD requires some DNS and domain administration tasks. Ensure that you have the necessary permissions and access to the DNS zone and domain registrar before proceeding with the custom domain addition.

To add a custom domain in Azure AD, follow these steps:

Procedure

  1. Sign into the Azure portal (https://portal.azure.com) using your Azure AD global administrator account.
  2. In the left navigation pane, click Azure Active Directory.
  3. Under the Manage section, click Custom domains.
  4. Click + Add custom domain.
  5. Enter the name of the custom domain you want to add, and click Add domain.
  6. You are prompted to verify ownership of the domain. You can choose from different methods such as adding a TXT record to your domain's DNS zone or uploading an HTML file to your domain's web server.
