Editing a scan

You can edit a basic scan to modify configuration options. If you need help editing your scan or you need more settings added to it, ask your security team to help you. They can edit your scan from an advanced view in the AppScan Dynamic Analysis Client.

About this task

Make sure that the scan you want to edit is not running in AppScan Enterprise.

Procedure

  1. Go to the relevant Application tab in the Monitor view.
  2. Click View details in the application sidebar.
  3. In the Scans section of the dialog, click the Job Properties icon of the scan you want to edit.
  4. On the Setup tab of the scan, click Edit.
  5. On the Start page of the AppScan Dynamic Analysis Client, select Update Existing Job, go to the applicable folder and select the scan.
  6. Modify the scan configuration options.
  7. On the Job Properties page, clear the Run job as soon as possible check box, and click Update Job. This prevents the scan from suspending in AppScan Enterprise if it is running when you edit the configuration options in the Client.
